Staff Selection Commission is the premier institute of the Indian Government which helps to streamline the recruitment process for the central government posts. Staff Selection Commission is responsible to manage the central government Group C and Group D recruitment.
To make the overall recruitment process smooth and easy SSC established its regional network which helps the Staff Selection Commission in the region-wise recruitment for all posts.
SSC network consists of SSC headquarter based in New Delhi, 7 regional offices based at Allahabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore, and 2 sub-regional offices based at Raipur and Chandigarh. All SSC offices have different websites and helpline numbers to help applicants. All regional SSC department is headed by the regional director.

1- SSC NR (SSC Northern Region):
SSC NR (SSC North Region) manages the recruitment process for the Northern Region (Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttrakhand). SSC NR headquarter is located in New Delhi headed by the Regional Director Shri Gajender Singh Thakur.

2- SSC CR (SSC Central Region):
SSC CR (SSC Central Region) manages the recruitment process for the Central Region which includes Uttar Pradesh & Bihar State. SSC CR headquarter is located in Prayagraj headed by the Regional Director Shri Rahul Sachan.

3- SSC ER (SSC Eastern Region):
SSC ER (SSC Eastern Region) manages the recruitment process for the Eastern Region which includes West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand & Andaman, and Nicobar Islands (UT). SSC ER headquarter is located in Kolkata headed by the Regional Director Ms. Priyanka Basu Ingty.
